Segura is a Kiger mare who has promoted mustangs by appearing in
Midwest Mustang & Burro Saddle Club demonstrations, numerous parades, and five
Equifest of Kansas appearances. Segura has been featured in numerous newspaper articles and was featured live on a local news station. She has also appeared on other television stations - just not live! Segura and Steens Eleana performed at the American Royal Concert of Champions which is by invitation only! Segura was saddle trained at the age of two and has been quite a joy to work with and ride. Segura is a fun little trail horse too!
October 2010 was the 3rd annual Midwest Mustang & Burro fun show. Below is Segura in halter class. I was so proud of my girl, she got first place!!

Segura told me to tell Cindy she only beat us by one English class so look out because we'll be prepared to ride English next year too! What a fun day for the mustang owners and their horses!
It was a good day for Segura at the show, she received the following:
1st halter class
1st in walk, trot
2nd showmanship
2nd in western horsemanship
Reserve champion performance horse
4th in barrels which is amazing because the princess is not about SPEED!

09-26-09 Segura was in the American Royal Parade representing the BLM and the Midwest Mustang & Burro Saddle Club. She has become such a sensible horse when put in high energy and stressful situations. She handled herself like an old pro she has become. :-)
05/23/09 Katie and her mom came for a visit so we took advantage of the time we had and hoisted Katie aboard Segura for a little bareback riding. If I recall correctly Katie had not ever ridden bareback but she did a great job of staying centered. Segura was a good girl for us! I am always thrilled when youngsters enjoy America's Living Legends! Thanks for visiting with us Katie and Jean!
